Jack and The Beanstalk

As part of an initiative to put technology in the hands of students,  first graders at W-G Elementary work on a classroom set of iPads on the Jack and the Beanstalk application by Ayars Animation Inc.  This timeless tale includes audio narration, read along text and interactive games and features.  First grade students work on the iPads weekly.  Read more about the iPad project at W-G Elementary here..

Green Eggs and Ham- iPad Style

Kindergarten students at Waynesfield-Goshen recently viewed the traditional Green Eggs and Ham from Dr. Seuss as no Kindergarten class has done before.  Mrs. Gossard's class worked with an iPad using Oceanhouse Media's Green Eggs and Ham app.  The iPad image was projected onto a white screen and students heard the story read aloud.  Each time the story said their weekly site word I, students raised a finger, counting how many times the word I was read on each page.   Students can choose to have the story read to them, read it by themselves, or an auto play option.
